Sea Organ

One of my favourite websites (www.oddmusic.com) recently added some new instruments. I originally used this website to locate the infamous Hangdrum, but they had a lot of additions since. One of most recent additions is a Crotian “instrument” known as the Sea Organ. The Sea Organ (morske orgulje) is a natural musical instrument, seventy meters long with thirty-five organ pipes built under the concrete.

My life as a diamond

“…The LifeGem ® is a certified, high-quality diamond created from the carbon of your loved one as a memorial to their unique life…”

This quote is from the website of a company specialized creating diamonds from the ashes of dead people, which is one of the most wonderful, crazy, morbid, beautiful and perverted concepts I have yet to encounter in my eventful human life. Essentially the ashes of a cremated body are compressed into an artificial diamond ranging from 3-20.000$ in price.

I guess it could have many positive applications and provide deeper sense to the afterlife or maybe not… My afterlife options would most likely be life as dentil- or oil drill… or even better… end up as a pick-up playing a vinyl record of my own stuff… How “tragepic” would that be?!

Robot music

So I have the deepest respect for all the research done within robotics and the latest display is no exception. However … If I ever get my hands on one of these amazing machines – it will not be playing cheap sentimental elevator music like this … and if it did … it would play the right notes at least … regardless it is an impressive and sad step forward …
