GDC 2008 lecture approved

Good news! The GDC advisory board just approved my very … loud … upcoming lecture.

The lecture is called “The Art of Custom Sampling” and will focus on how to apply custom samples into scores, which is the most commonly used technique amongst Hollywood composers (ex. Zimmer, Shore, Newton-Howard). The session will go deeply in custom sampling techniques for orchestra, choir and percussion and provide the audience with the secrets of creating fully believable symphonic simulations used in the award-winning soundtracks for the Tomb Raider series.

I will be showing a great deal of my custom templates too, which involves both custom recordings of two symphony orchestra, several percussive ensemble sessions and a true-legato recorded choir, which is 100% believable.
