Tomb Raider Legend TEC nominated

I just learned that the Tomb Raider Legend received a nomination at the upcoming 23rd Annual Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at the New York Marriott Marquis – also known as the TEC award. It is the first year that they are awarding interactive productions and the competition is insane, since the game is competing against Gears of War, God of War 2, GRAW 2, COD 3 – which are all excellent games with excellent audio.

TRL music wins GANG Award

My score for Tomb Raider Legend was awarded Music of the Year at the annual G.A.N.G awards yesterday, which is a great honor for me. Many people helped me in different ways and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them shortly. First of all Mike Peaslee helped me significantly with his masterful sound design. Karl Gallagher and Gregg Stephens did all implementation and in-game integration. Sean Gugler programmed and perfected our crazy audio streaming engine and 5.1 support. Morgan Gray, Rosaura Sandoval and Toby Gard for providing great direction for cinematic music. Sean Vesce and Doug Church for being great inspirational sources and most importantly my wife, Susanne, and our nine babies (soon to be 10).

Love and peace to all the nominees – music perception is subjective.

TRL score BAFTA nominated

The world is wonderful, strange and lyrical place. The score for Tomb Raider Legend was recently nominated for British Academy of Film and Television Arts award for best original score. I don’t expect it to win or anything like that. But I do feel proud of being in such a great company amongst other amazingly beautiful scores and games.
